The NHS Volunteer service provides a transport service for shielding or suspected COVID patient.
If you are an approved referrer and would like to make a referral over the phone, please call our Support Team on 0808 196 3382.
If you would like the individual to self-refer, please advise them to call a separate number – 0808 196 3646. Please note, this is only for individuals who meet specific criteria or who are considered medically vulnerable for another reason.
If the person is unable to do this by phone for themselves there is a very simple referral online form that we can request the transport on behalf of the patient.
