Nursing Team

Our Nurse Team is led by Anna Milton and Nikki Godwin, and supported by Caroline Slim, Alexandra Dean, Sarah Bevins and Amelia Daniel. They hold daily routine surgeries for dressings, bandaging, pill checks, smears, coil checks, and injections (childhood and routine travel) but in addition, run numerous clinics. The clinics include asthma, diabetes, COPD, coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, stroke/TIA, and mental health annual reviews.


Nurse Practitioners and
Special Care of the Elderly Team

Rachel Spencer, Rowan Haycock and Rosa Camacho are our Nurse Practitioners, supported by the care of the elderly nurse Giselle Mijares. They provide home visits to housebound and vulnerable patients and support the GPs with the care of patients in Nursing and Residential Homes.


Health Care Assistants

Christine Stewart, Mo Brown, Debra Yoxall, Poppy Bebbington, Julie Walker and Emma Risdale are the practice Health Care Assistants who offer daily sessions to take blood tests, perform ECGs, blood pressure and urine tests and also offer hypertension annual review clinics.

Mental Health Nurse Team

Hilary Willis – Mental Health Nurse
I qualified as a mental health nurse in 2013 and worked in acute mental health in Plymouth for a year and a half before moving to Australia in 2015. I worked in A&E, with the psychiatry liaison team and spent some time working in community mental health in Sydney before moving back to the UK in 2020 to take up my current role at The Old School Surgery.


Rhianne Summers – Mental Health Nurse
Hello, I’m Rhianne, qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2019. I have worked as a Community Nurse with people with a range of mental health needs in Bristol and North Somerset and joined The Surgery in my current role in August 2021.


Shelley McSweeney – Mental Health Nurse
Hello, I’m Shelley and I have been a mental health nurse for over 10 years. I have worked in a wide range of settings from assessment to inpatient psychiatric intensive care to community nursing including time as an Outreach nurse with homeless people and in hostels. I joined the surgery in August 2021 where we offer appointments to discuss mental health-related concerns and provide support, advice and referrals where appropriate.
