ECGs

If you have been asked to book in for an ECG (Electrocardiogram), please book a 10 minute appointment with one of our health care assistants. ECGs can give us information about how your heart is working. It will involve undressing your upper body and removing your shoes and socks. Electrodes are then attached to your skin to measure the electrical activity in your heart. Please do not apply any body lotions or creams on the day of your ECG otherwise the electrodes will not stick properly. You will not feel any discomfort – in fact you won’t be able to feel anything at all.
